But since that's still, to a point, what Greatest Hits achieves, 'twould be a shame to miss out on owning a piece of pop-punk history. When four tracks represent Buddha/ Cheshire Cat/ Dude Ranch and four represent blink-182 alone, it's obvious that blink took the phrase "Greatest Hits" a little too literally for the album meant to summarize the breadth of their supremely influential career. Were you a fan of the underproduced, DIY, pre- Enema blink? Bad news: Less than a quarter of this compilation is reserved for you.
Hits's biggest failing (apart from the absence of "Mutt"-grumble, grumble…) - and it's a doozy - is its confounding sense of imbalance.
